Laughter is the best medicine

Laughter... the sweet sound of happiness.  It has the power to heal and uplift spirits. With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health. It also has the power to make you look like a babbling fool when you get the giggles.  This seems to happen often to me when I get together with my best friend Rachel.  No matter what the subject or situation we always seem to find an amusing or comical aspect in record time.  This ability to amuse ourselves with little or no supervision is unsettling for some, but for others watching us... it's pure entertainment!
As an added bonus, laughter raises vibrations and energy levels.  It makes you smile, giggle, and even snort sometimes (in Rachel's case) :-) Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.  And the best part is that it does not cost a penny. (All the more reason to have a good chuckle at least once a day.)
Another positive aspect of laughing is that it can be infectious.  You know the type of laugh.... the one chuckle that makes you giggle uncontrollably even if you have no idea what is so funny.  Just watch a baby laughing and in no time you will be smiling from ear to ear.  It's catchy after all!
I am a firm believer in the law of attraction, thus, the energy you put out to the universe results in attraction of the same vibes back to you.  So imagine just how much fun your life could become if you dabbled with a bit of humour each day.  Hardships become less of a burden if approached in a positive and light hearted manner.  I'm not saying that having a giggle is the cure to all your problems, however it makes them much easier to deal with if you are in a positive frame of mind.
Smiling and laughing makes you feel good.  Even after the joke is done, the very feeling of happiness lingers.  It makes you all light and giddy.  Its a good thing, except when people look at you like you are nuts. Then again, that never stopped me before! :-)  So to all my fellow nutters: laugh like they are going to lock you up in the padded room my friend. Go on... do it!
