Laugh so hard... that you forget the bad and focus on the good

So we are back again with my favourite subject in the whole universe...LAUGHTER!!! Yes I can admit it: laughter is my weakness.  Well it's actually the giggles that make me weak and smiling from ear to ear like a flaming idiot.  But that is beside the point.  So why, you may ask, does it feel so wonderful to laugh? Is it the fact that we raise our vibrations or is it because it's so uplifting to be around happy people. To be honest, I really don't mind because when I am having a challenging day, nothing helps to raise my energy more than having a good laugh.
I think this may be one of the only things in this world that I find addictive.  There are instances when even the giggle of a small child can set me off.  Most of the time however it's when my friend Rachel is talking to me in some strange foreign accent about absolute rubbish.  She's good like that! :-) We simply have to look at each other and burst out laughing.  You know what I mean... those instances when you laugh so hard you forget all the stressful issues in your life and focus on how alive you feel at that very second. These fabulous spurts of pure madness are essential to our well being and sanity.
These are the moments I etch into my heart and spirit; they are the memories I hold on to when things are running me down.  It's also very useful ammunition when it's time to mock your mates!   I know I have done my part to provide my friends with flashes of pure insanity to stock up on. I just hope they deleted those dodgy videos and pictures.... lol  (Note to self: check Rachel's phone for evidence of stupidity)
So smile like you are an absolute nutter and laugh whenever you have the opportunity to do so. I recommend it on a regular basis. Trust me... I know a thing or two about insanity :-)

Beauty in silence....

In a previous blog,  I rambled on about music and all of its wonderful benefits. This time I am going to entertain you with the subject of... silence.  You must be saying to yourself: I think this woman is completely off her trolley.  But no! I actually appreciate the silence once in a while.  It is powerful and filled with numerous possibilities to perceive and feel energy.  When you quiet your mind, you connect to to an inner peace and a magical place of well being.  Within this silence exists an opportunity to raise vibrations and let your other senses awaken.  As a blind person's hearing expands to compensate for their lack of sight, inner silence can help to develop and heighten your sixth sense.

Bruce Lee said: "Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water."  This man understood the principle of silence and flowing with the universe.  This state of Zen is one that can easily be tapped into by emptying your mind of all thoughts and worries.  Easier said than done right? Well, maybe at first.  However with practice, you can be tapping into Zen states before you know it! There is a spiritual awakening taking place on this planet, a call of the soul for that which has been missing or hidden from it, and causing us to pause and listen for the whisper. Take time to listen to the whisper, to feel the wind caress you, and know that you are not alone on the path. Trust, be still, and listen...

Laughter is the best medicine

Laughter... the sweet sound of happiness.  It has the power to heal and uplift spirits. With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health. It also has the power to make you look like a babbling fool when you get the giggles.  This seems to happen often to me when I get together with my best friend Rachel.  No matter what the subject or situation we always seem to find an amusing or comical aspect in record time.  This ability to amuse ourselves with little or no supervision is unsettling for some, but for others watching us... it's pure entertainment!
As an added bonus, laughter raises vibrations and energy levels.  It makes you smile, giggle, and even snort sometimes (in Rachel's case) :-) Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.  And the best part is that it does not cost a penny. (All the more reason to have a good chuckle at least once a day.)
Another positive aspect of laughing is that it can be infectious.  You know the type of laugh.... the one chuckle that makes you giggle uncontrollably even if you have no idea what is so funny.  Just watch a baby laughing and in no time you will be smiling from ear to ear.  It's catchy after all!
I am a firm believer in the law of attraction, thus, the energy you put out to the universe results in attraction of the same vibes back to you.  So imagine just how much fun your life could become if you dabbled with a bit of humour each day.  Hardships become less of a burden if approached in a positive and light hearted manner.  I'm not saying that having a giggle is the cure to all your problems, however it makes them much easier to deal with if you are in a positive frame of mind.
Smiling and laughing makes you feel good.  Even after the joke is done, the very feeling of happiness lingers.  It makes you all light and giddy.  Its a good thing, except when people look at you like you are nuts. Then again, that never stopped me before! :-)  So to all my fellow nutters: laugh like they are going to lock you up in the padded room my friend. Go on... do it!

Intuition.... is yours kicking in?

When exactly does intuition kick in and lead you down the right path one may ask?? I wonder sometimes if mine is on the right channel or not. You know, those days when you get that butterfly feeling in your belly that you should be elsewhere.  The one that instinctively urges you out of the fast lane seconds before a speeding car flies by.   Others call it divine intervention or angelic assistance.  Labels mean nothing to me because it all boils down to a sixth sense within us that makes us change direction instantly.  It's the force that begins as a flicker of energy and evolves into a certainty, a real knowing from within.  That my friends, is intuition at work.  Not always easy to decipher, but a heck of a lot of fun once you recognise it!!
Once you master that, you can use your intuition for numerous things.  To check whether you are on the right path, to ensure you are buying the right products for you or even for choosing a new mate.  I use it in everything I do.  You could almost refer to intuition as my sidekick. When meeting someone for the first time, I let my intuition guide me.  We all make split second judgments the first time we meet new people.  It's scientifically proven that we as humans decide whether or not we like a person within the first 3 seconds of seeing them.  Instead of simply relying on your eyes,  let your intuition kick in.
Not another one of her experiments you say.  I have been known to teach a thing or two about intuition in my time on this planet... so just work with me people!!!  :-) Moving on... the more you begin to use your sixth sense, the more adept you will be at relying on it.  After a while, you will start to go with your gut more often than you realise.  For one whole day, try using your intuition to make decisions.  Rule of thumb is always go with the first answer that comes to you. Don't second guess or analyze either.  Relax and calm your senses and have faith that the inner you can guide you along the right path.  Martial artists and athletes do it without a second thought.
In the words of the phenomenal Bruce Lee: "Do not be tense, just be ready, not thinking but not dreaming, not being set but being flexible. It is being "wholly" and quietly alive, aware and alert, ready for whatever may come."  That my friends is a bit of wisdom to lead you on your way...

Music...and fabulous vibing

Music is one of my passions... it makes me feel alive, vibing and connected. A single note or a lyric can send me back flashing to a past memory instantly.  And in that very moment a feeling emerges... ahhhh elation! I am 20, in a Montreal night club, dancing and feeling the music into my very core.  I feel alive and happy.  That's something that fascinates me: the powerful effect music has on people and cultures.  Music connects, excites, makes you feel emotions whether you want to or not.  It just happens... like that. Poof!!  Magic!
To be able to recreate a scenario in your head instantly by simply listening to a song is phenomenal.  I have been known to turn on my computer, choose a play list and turn the music way up.  The effect: myself dancing all around the house like I was 20 again and singing along like a diva with no care in the world.  A sight for sore eyes I must say, and also an amazing feeling.  My energy vibrations rise, my mood is lifted and the corners of my mouth curl upward to reveal a smile.  No wonder I am addicted!
It's one of the few things that I could not live without.  I know it's kind of a cheesy thing to say yet it's so true.  I cannot imagine our world without music.  What a quiet place it would be and not really somewhere I can picture myself living.  If that were the case I would hop on the next space shuttle out of this galaxy!  With this statement I digress, so on to a more positive note... '
Music has the power to make you feel sexy.  Yes I said the "s" word, so brace yourself! Picture a song that makes you want to sway and move your hips around.... go on.... do it.  Now think of how easy it is to sway provocatively when you hear the song.  Hmmmmmm careful people, things just might get interesting... or you may slip a disc swaying. It could go either way; depending on how long it's been since you last swayed. :-)
Oh, did you hear that? It's the sound of vibrations rising!!!
